Current AT Setting: Clinical - Solo Practice/Self-Employed
Employer: Stepp Center
Years at current job: Ten at the Stepp Center, 38 total for my career
Who are your “athletes”? I work with middle school/junior high and high school athletes as well as active adults.
What’s your schedule like? Let's just say it's not what it used to be... I'm moving towards Retirement!
Have you been to any exciting locations/events with this job? I've had the opportunity to speak at the NATA Convention/Symposium as well as several state associations regarding solo practice.
What do you like most about your job? No doubt I love the time component and having the freedom to set my own schedule. I've also been very fortunate to work with some great fellow athletic trainers locally at Wesleyan and Norcross.
Any advice for an AT who wants to work in this setting? This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly motivated with good rehab skills and who wants to control their own financial destiny.
